Industrial security

In the smart industry (Industry 4.0), industrial systems and sensors are at the heart of organizations. Organization’s main concern is that these systems have to be operational 24 hours 365 days a year. They are so important and may not be out of service for more than 5 minutes. Security comes after operational results and that makes the systems and sensors more vulnerable to attacks.

With the use of MagiCtwin, these problems belong to the past. Extra security will no longer influence the 100% availability. Indeed, the OT network can be fully separated from the IT network. Depending on the needs of the customer the MagiCtwin can have one-way or controlled two-way network communication.

MagiCtwin consists of one device with two compartments, which are completely separated from each other. Both compartments are designed to work independently from one another and have their own motherboard, power and network connections. The MagiCtwin can be delivered in two different models: MagiCtwin Diode or MagiCtwin Firewall2.

Both models are compatible to run on a virtual system and could be used in the cloud. Even both sides of the diode are country and network independent.

MagiCtwin Diode

The MagiCtwin Diode is a classic data diode, where only one-way traffic is possible. Data is send via the TX proxy to the RX proxy. It is physically impossible to send data via RX- to the TX proxy.

MagiCtwin Firewall2

With the use MagiCtwin Firewall2 two-way network communication is possible. However, thanks to both firewalls, it could be fully regulated. With a double firewall, specific protocols could be allowed, while others will be blocked.

MagiCtwin Virtual Diode

MagiCtwin Diode is available in a software-only version. The concept is still the same, but the physical block for one-way traffic is now managed in software.

MagiCtwin Firewall2 is available in a software-only version. With a virtual system it is possible to allow traffic without modifying the protocol.

Features

Secure is really secure

MagiCtwin protects the most critical networks and data. With only one-way traffic and regulated two traffic, these networks and data are not accessible from the internet.

Push | Pull method

With the push method, data from the TX side will be directly send to the right server/user. With the pull method, the user is required to retrieve the data from the TX side.

Certified firewalls

The MagiCtwin consist of two Compuwall’s (Next Generation Layer-7 Firewall), which is the only Dutch certified firewall for ‘restricted’ usage.

Security principle

Misconfiguration with as result security leaks is excluded because MagiCtwin in default modus applies the principle. ”Everything not explicitly allowed is strictly forbidden.”

Separation of networks

Thanks to the physical one-way, MagiCtwin Diode is an excellent solution to divide a confidential network from the office network. Traffic from the confidential network to the office network is fully blocked. Also known as the red/black separation.

Central Management

The control of MagiCtwin is very easy. The physical Diode doesn’t need to be configured and works from the moment when it is connected to two networks. Both firewalls can easily be managed via the web management. 

Designed for industrial environments

MagiCtwin is very suitable for industrial environments because it is shockproof, works at temperatures between -20° and +55° Celsius, doesn’t contain any fans and has a long life time.

CompuWall

CompuWall is a combination of the own Compumatica VPN concentrator and the Compumatica Next Generation firewall in one. Thanks to the merging of these functionalities it is very user-friendly for both the administrator and the user.

CryptoGuard

The CryptoGuard technology encrypts all internet-, voice-, data- and video connections worldwide. Encryption is based on a key length of 256 AES and encrypts on L2, L3 and L4. The CryptoGuard family runs from 90 Mbps till 100 Gb.
